On April 27, 2011 we held a symposium about next generation DNA sequencing technologies and their applications in scientific research, health, and medicine.

Speakers included George Church (Harvard University), Rade Drmanac (Complete Genomics, Inc), David Goldstein (Duke University) and Dana Pe'er (Columbia University).

The symposium took place at the University Pennsylvania's brand new Translational Research Center in Philadelphia.

The GET Conference 2011 was part of a week-long celebration honoring George Church, recipient of the 2011 Bower Award and Prize for Achievement in Science.
